Staff: Matt and Michelle Brostrom (joint ownership with Rodney and Amy Goble)
Michigan Rehabilitation Specialists of South Lyon is co-owned by Matt and Michelle Brostrom in partnership with Rodney and Amy Goble. The facility has been serving the South Lyon and surrounding communities since it opened in October 2005. The staff also leads a free exercise class at the South Lyon Center for Active Adults twice weekly.
Matt and Michelle are very dedicated to their clients and provide them with one-on-one, personal treatment, educating them about the proper techniques for healing and exercise to ensure maximum benefit from physical-therapy treatment. It is rewarding for both to see their clients pain-free and able to return quickly to previously difficult activities. Matt received his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the, University of Michigan, and has continued his education with numerous post-graduate courses, including a McKenzie certification in Mechanical diagnosis and treatment. An avid runner and bicyclist, he has competed in many races, marathons and triathlons. Matt has finished multiple Ironman triathlons. Well known in the athletic community, Matt has treated Olympic runners and professional athletes successfully. He is also a guest speaker at Oakland University. Michelle has a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan, and has also received professional certification in the McKenzie method of spinal care. She has extensive training and experience in working with brain injuries, spinal-chord injuries, infant disorders, and upper extremity neurological conditions. As an aerobics instructor, Michelle, like Matt, believes in the benefit of life-long fitness.
Michigan Rehabilitation Specialists of South Lyon is a premier Cybex physical therapy facility. The facility specializes in one-on-one, individualized attention throughout the treatment process. Clients receive not only the best care during treatment, but are given an education to prevent further injuries. McKenzie techniques are used to expedite the healing process. After completing their treatment, clients are encouraged to continue using the facility¹s state-of-the-art exercise equipment free of charge. MRS South Lyon is very active in the community, providing continuing support to the high school¹s sports programs, the Center for Active Adults, Kiwanis, and the Chamber of Commerce. We take pride in having the opportunity to be involved with the local community and its athletes.
